Partner Joseph Cammarata Featured in Clinton Docu-Series “Scandalous”

Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel, P.C. Partner Joseph Cammarata recently appeared on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer to discuss his featured role in a historical documentary series discussing the sexual misconduct allegations against former President Bill Clinton. The docu-series – entitled “Scandalous” – is an eight part special that debuted Sunday, January 21st on Fox News.

Partner Cammarata’s appearance on America’s Newsroom focused on his involvement in the scandal surrounding former President Bill Clinton and allegations he faced over sexual misconduct, which attracted international attention. Mr. Cammarata was one of the attorneys who represented Paula Jones in a lawsuit filed against President Clinton over sexual harassment that took place while he was the Governor of Arkansas and Ms. Jones was an Arkansas state employee. The sexual harassment suit and deposition in the Jones case played a pivotal role in President Clinton’s impeachment over lying under oath about Monica Lewinsky. Mr. Cammarata was successful in obtaining a unanimous decision from the Supreme Court of the United States holding that a sitting President does not have immunity from civil suits involving private misconduct.

The President Clinton sexual misconduct scandal has seen a resurgence in the media following a number of high profile allegations of sexual harassment, assault, and misconduct involving prominent celebrities and political figures. This includes allegations made against President Donald Trump and a pending defamation lawsuit filed by Summer Zervos. Similarities between the two cases – in that they involve lawsuits filed against a current President – have resulted in national conversations over critical legal issues, many of which Partner Cammarata has addressed in recent media appearances – including recent appearances on HLN’s Michaela and CNN Tonight with Don Lemon – and the current “Scandalous” docu-series.

Below, you can view Partner Cammarata’s appearance on America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer discussing his involvement in the Paula Jone’s case. “Scandalous” is scheduled to air Sunday evenings on Fox News at 8:00 pm ET.
