I grew up in Brooklyn, New York. I’m a city girl, so I like to explore and see things and enjoy new experiences, and that was pretty much my life growing up. I became interested in becoming an attorney at a young age because my uncle is an attorney. I clearly didn’t know all that it took, but it was always exciting to me when he was preparing for cases. It just gave me that first glimpse of what it looked like to be a successful person and educated. And he would just tell me all of these stories, and I was just enamored with his experiences. So he is my first inspiration on my journey to now becoming an attorney.

I went to law school at Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, and I decided to go into plaintiff’s work mainly because I really do believe in fighting for people and making sure that their rights are protected, making sure that their pockets are protected. And I’m just passionate about taking care of people and making sure that they always get their just due.

Picking Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel was a no-brainer, honestly. They’re very educated when it comes to the work that they do, but not only that, they are decorated trial lawyers. To be the best, I think you have to join the best. And I think you can learn the most from people who have been doing it for the amount of years that the firm has been doing it. Honestly, it was an honor and a pleasure to join this team, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.

I love what I do because I believe that we need more advocates in the world. There’s something about being able to take care of someone else and being able to put someone else’s fear aside and let them know that they can have some ease because you understand what they’re going through. But not only that, you’re going to make sure that you can help them through it. And I think we all should help someone at some point.
