What is important is that there be accountability and responsibility accepted by the wrongdoer. Some will step up and say, “Look, I did wrong. Let me make it right,” but that’s the rare situation.

I want to give people access to justice, full justice—the ability to have their case heard in a forum where truth can be tried. We can’t be afraid of that.

The courtroom is our battleground where the rules apply to both sides equally and fully. And I will do it the easy way or the hard way to hold the wrongdoer accountable and responsible for the harms and losses they caused my client.

I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and went to Georgetown for undergrad. I always had in my mind to become a lawyer because I thought it was important to help people and be their advocate.

I co-founded the Brain Injury Association of Washington D.C., and I drafted legislation that became law in the District of Columbia to protect youth athletes from concussions.

I’ve handled some high-profile cases in my career. Each case has its own unique story, and I find joy in making people feel better. Resolving a case to a client’s satisfaction—there’s nothing better than that.
